WA Planning Minister supports rezoning, but the destruction is not a done deal!

Only days before the election caretaker period commenced, the WA Planning Minister gave "approval" and "support" for rezoning, without explanation of why this reserve should be bulldozed.

While this decision is disappointing, any so-called approval and the accompanying reports need to sit before both houses of WA Parliament before taking effect.

After the 11 March election, the government of the day can choose whether to proceed with this rezoning, and if it does get presented to Parliament, the amendment can still be disallowed.

It's not too late
